At 1 million pageviews a month on one website, a cookie banner costs $55 a month on CookieYes (Ultimate), about €54.74 on iubenda (Essentials plus overage), $20 on Termly (Pro+), €59 on consentmanager (Essential) and €129 or more on Axeptio, while Cookiequiet costs nothing on Free or €3 on Starter, because it has no pageview limit. At 10,000 pageviews the gap is small: most tools cost between €0 and $14. The tables below work through 10,000, 100,000, 500,000 and 1 million pageviews for one site and for five, using each vendor's own published tiers and overage fees.

How were these figures computed?

Prices come from each vendor's pricing page, read on 20 October 2026 for CookieYes, Termly and iubenda and on 21 October 2026 for the others. Each cell is the cheapest published plan that covers the traffic on monthly billing, including overage where the vendor publishes a per-1,000 fee, excluding VAT, in the vendor's own currency. Termly counts banner views, which are at most equal to pageviews. Cookiebot and CookieScript do not price by traffic, so their figure is the same in every column. Vendors that count sessions or visitors (Usercentrics, CookieHub, Osano, Enzuzo) are left out of the tables, because pageviews do not convert reliably into sessions.

What does one website cost per month?

Axeptio€69 (Medium; Small stops at 5,000)€69€129 (Large)Quote (Enterprise)

Two caveats change the picture. First, iubenda Essentials and CookieYes Basic have no geo-targeting: with it, iubenda moves to Advanced (€21.99 plus overage above 50,000) and CookieYes to Pro ($25 up to 300,000 pageviews). Second, the WordPress plugins Borlabs Cookie (€49 a year for one site, about €4.08 a month) and Complianz ($59 a year, about $4.92 a month) have no traffic limit either; they only run on WordPress.

What do five websites cost per month?

Same traffic on each of the five sites.

On yearly billing the order stays the same. Cookiequiet Starter is €29 per site per year, or €190 a year on the Agency plan for up to 10 Pro websites; CookieYes Basic is $100 and Ultimate $550 per domain per year; Termly Pro+ is $15 a month billed yearly. On WordPress, five sites cost €109 a year on Borlabs Cookie and €129 on Real Cookie Banner, VAT included for the latter: less than five Cookiequiet Starter sites at €145, which is where the plugins win. The Borlabs Cookie comparison covers that case.

What happens when you pass the limit?

The overage rule matters more than the entry price once traffic varies. As published on the vendors' pages:

  • CookieYes: $0.30 per 1,000 extra pageviews on Basic and Pro.
  • iubenda: €0.05 per 1,000 extra pageviews on every plan.
  • consentmanager: €0.10 per 1,000 on Starter, €0.05 on Essential, €0.02 on Enterprise; "Your banner continues to function without interruption". See the consentmanager comparison.
  • CookieFirst: a soft limit of 250,000 pageviews per domain, with 25% overuse allowed on two consecutive months, then a custom offer.
  • Usercentrics: the plan upgrades automatically under its terms; a free account that is not upgraded stops showing the banner.
  • CookieHub: paid accounts move to the right plan after two billing periods over the limit; the Free banner stops showing until you upgrade.
  • Secure Privacy: you are notified and can upgrade or add usage blocks; the banner is not shut off.
  • Cookiebot: no traffic limit, but the plan follows the number of subpages the scanner finds.
  • Termly: the page does not say.
  • Cookiequiet: no limit to pass, on any plan.

A banner that stops showing at the limit is the worst outcome: the site keeps its trackers and loses consent collection. Why pageview pricing is the wrong model explains the reasoning.

How do you work out your own number?

  1. Take your monthly pageviews from analytics, using the busiest month of the past year rather than the average.
  2. Count the websites and domains, including country domains and staging sites the banner must run on.
  3. Decide whether you need geo-targeting, a consent log longer than one month, or the IAB TCF; each one can move you to another plan.
  4. Apply the tiers and the overage fee, then multiply by twelve and by the number of years you expect to keep the tool.

The cookie banner cost calculator does those four steps with the published figures. Cookiequiet's own number is short: Free for one site, €3 per website per month or €29 a year on Starter, whatever the traffic (Pro, with the AI design agent and the 5-year log, is €9 or €99); the pricing page has the rest. Setup is one script tag before your other scripts, with no plugin or tag-manager configuration needed.
