Features
What Cookiequiet does, and what it does not
A consent banner, a scanner, policy generators, a consent log and an AI designer, built around one rule: the website must stay fast and the visitor must get a real choice. The banner
- Three layouts (bar, floating box, centred modal), light, dark or automatic mode, brand colours, radius, font and custom CSS on Pro.
- Accept all and Reject all with equal prominence on the first screen; Customize opens the preferences centre with four categories and the cookie table.
- 24 languages chosen from the visitor's browser, every string editable per language.
- Keyboard and screen-reader accessible: dialog roles, focus management, visible focus rings.
- About 7 KB compressed, loaded once and cached a day at the edge; the configuration is fetched in the visitor's language and cached a minute.
- A floating “Cookie preferences” button after a choice, and a data attribute to turn any footer link into one.
Blocking and integrations
- Scripts marked type="text/plain" with a category run only after consent; embeds marked data-cq-src load after consent.
- Understands the markup of CookieYes (data-cookieyes) and Cookiebot (data-cookieconsent, data-cookieblock-src), so switching keeps existing tags.
- The auto-blocker holds scripts and iframes created by JavaScript from about 80 known trackers until consent.
- Google Consent Mode v2 defaults and updates, a cq_consent dataLayer event with per-category flags, Microsoft UET consent.
- A small JavaScript API (window.Cookiequiet) and a cq:consent event for your own code.
Geo rules
- Everywhere, only in regulated countries (EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey), or a custom list.
- Opt-out notice with a Do Not Sell or Share link in US states with a privacy law; Global Privacy Control honoured.
- On every plan, Free included.
Scanner
- Reads your pages (10 on Free, 50 on Pro): scripts, iframes, stylesheets, pixels and Set-Cookie headers.
- Names what it finds with a database of about 80 providers, detects other consent tools and Consent Mode calls, and the platform (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow…).
- Unknown first-party cookies classified by Claude; your manual categories are never overwritten.
- Monthly on Free, weekly on Pro, on demand any time.
Policies
- Privacy policy, cookie policy and terms generated from a questionnaire prefilled by the scan.
- Processors table with what each service does with the data and where it is, retention periods, rights, the supervisory authority of your country, CCPA and LGPD sections when relevant.
- English and French; hosted pages the banner links to, or Markdown and HTML to paste.
Consent log
- Every choice recorded with the date, the action, the categories, the banner version, the language, the country, a random per-site visitor id, a daily-salted IP hash and the browser.
- Daily counters for shown, accepted, rejected and custom choices; the consent rate on your dashboard.
- 30 days on Free, 5 years and CSV export on Pro.
AI banner designer (Pro)
- Reads the website's colours, fonts, title and tone, and proposes a theme, a layout and wording that look native.
- Or follows your description: “dark, minimal, bottom-left, friendly tone”.
- Every proposal is validated against the configuration schema and previewed before you apply it. 30 runs per website per month.
