Terms of service

These terms govern the use of Cookiequiet (cookiequiet.com and app.cookiequiet.com), provided by Cookiequiet, France (“we”). By creating an account you accept them.

The service

Cookiequiet provides a cookie consent banner delivered by a script, a scanner, policy generators, a consent log and related tools, as described on the website. We may improve, change or discontinue features with notice where reasonable. We aim for the script to be available at all times and serve it from a global edge network, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the websites you add, for installing the script correctly, for marking or moving tags that the auto-blocker cannot hold, for reviewing the generated policies before publishing them, and for complying with the laws that apply to your websites. Cookiequiet helps you comply; it does not make you compliant by itself, and the generated policies are templates, not legal advice.

Plans and payment

The free plan covers one website with the features listed on the pricing page. Pro is billed per website, monthly (€3) or yearly (€29); Agency covers ten websites (€19 monthly, €190 yearly); the lifetime licence is a one-time payment of €79 per website for the Pro features for as long as Cookiequiet exists. The same figures apply in US dollars. Prices exclude VAT. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from the account page or the billing portal; a cancelled website goes back to the free plan at the end of the paid period and keeps working. Refunds: see the refund policy. We may change prices for future periods with 30 days' notice.

Acceptable use

No unlawful websites, no attempts to disrupt or reverse engineer the service beyond what the law allows, no reselling without an Agency plan or our agreement, no abuse of the scanner against sites you do not own or have permission to test beyond the public tool's limits.

Data

The privacy policy explains what we process about you; the data processing agreement governs the consent records we keep on your behalf.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect losses, including fines or claims arising from your websites' compliance. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event. Nothing limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or death or personal injury.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable. Lifetime licences end if the service is discontinued; we would then give at least 90 days' notice and a way to export your data.

Law

French law applies. Disputes go to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to consumers' mandatory rights. Contact: hello@cookiequiet.com.
