Cookiebot alternatives in 2026: subpage pricing, TCF and cheaper options
Cookiebot alternatives compared: who replaces its IAB TCF support, who costs less for large sites, and what each charges per domain as of 21 October 2026.Cookiebot charges by the number of subpages its scanner finds: €7 a month for one domain up to 50 subpages, €15 up to 350, €30 up to 3,500, €50 up to 7,000 and €90 above, with no traffic limit on any Premium plan. Cookiequiet Starter costs €3 per website per month or €29 a year whatever the number of pages or pageviews, so a 3,500-page site costs €29 a year instead of €360. If you need Cookiebot for the IAB TCF and Google certification, the closest alternatives are consentmanager, CookieScript Plus, CookieHub Business and Complianz premium.

Every Premium tier says "No traffic limitations"; geo-targeting and the IAB TCF 2.4 are Premium features. When we read the page on 20 October 2026 it also said that a subscription upgrades automatically to the next tier when the scan finds more subpages than the plan allows. Our Cookiebot comparison has the full table.
What does Cookiebot do well?
Before leaving, weigh what it gets right. Its documentation shows automatic cookie blocking in the default installation script, a new banner's defaults follow what it calls the strictest settings, the Free plan already keeps consent records for up to 12 months, and Premium has no traffic ceiling at all. For a small site under 50 subpages that needs the TCF, Premium Lite at €7 a month is hard to beat.
What are the main alternatives?
Prices from each vendor's own pricing page on 21 October 2026 (CookieYes on 20 October 2026).
| Alternative | Entry price for one site | Priced by | IAB TCF | Google-certified CMP | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cookiequiet | Free, then Starter €3 a month or €29 a year | Website, flat | No | No | Sites without TCF ads, any size |
| Usercentrics | Free (1,000 sessions), Essential €7 a month (1,500 sessions) | Sessions and domains | From Pro, €30 | Yes, per its page | Cookiebot's parent company, session pricing |
| consentmanager | Starter €23 a month (100,000 views) | Views | From Essential, €59 | Yes, per its page | High-traffic publishers |
| CookieScript | Plus €4.50 per domain per month, billed yearly, 2 domains minimum | Domain | Plus | Badge on its page | Several domains with the TCF |
| CookieHub | Business €30 a month (from 120,000 sessions) | Sessions | Business | Yes, per its page | TCF with session pricing |
| Complianz | $59 a year (1 WordPress site) | Site licence | Premium (CMP ID 332) | Yes, per its page | WordPress |
| CookieYes | Pro $25 a month, 300,000 pageviews | Pageviews | From Pro | Not checked | Mid-traffic sites |
How much does page count change the bill?
This is where Cookiebot's model costs most. A shop or a blog grows in URLs every month, and Cookiebot's tier follows the URLs its scanner finds.
| Subpages on the site | Cookiebot per year (monthly price x 12) | Cookiequiet Starter per year |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 50 | €84 (Premium Lite, 1 domain) | €29 |
| Up to 350 | €180 (Small) | €29 |
| Up to 3,500 | €360 (Medium) | €29 |
| Up to 7,000 | €600 (Large) | €29 |
| More than 7,000 | €1,080 (XLarge) | €29 |
One fair caveat: Cookiequiet's scanner reads 50 pages per scan on Starter and Pro, weekly. On a 7,000-page site it does not visit every URL; it reads a sample and names cookies from a database of about 80 providers. Cookiebot's scan visits up to the subpage limit you pay for. For sites built from a few templates, 50 pages show the same scripts as 7,000; for sites where each section loads different third parties, a fuller crawl finds more.
Who should pick which?
Stay on Cookiebot, or move to Usercentrics, consentmanager, CookieScript Plus, CookieHub Business or Complianz premium, if you show Google AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads to visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. Those ads require a Google-certified CMP using the IAB TCF, and Cookiequiet is not one. The TCF guide for publishers explains what the certification covers.
Choose Cookiequiet if you do not need the TCF and want the bill to stop following your page count. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking and Meta Pixel work through Consent Mode v2, which is switched on in the snippet the dashboard gives you. Reject all sits next to Accept all by default, and geo-targeting is on every plan, where Cookiebot needs Premium.
Choose Complianz if the site is WordPress and you would rather configure consent in the WordPress admin. Choose consentmanager for 1 million views a month with the TCF at €59 a month; see the consentmanager comparison.
What does switching from Cookiebot involve?
Cookiebot setups mark scripts with data-cookieconsent and type="text/plain", or rely on its auto-blocking. Cookiequiet reads the data-cookieconsent markup, so marked tags keep working once you replace the Cookiebot script with Cookiequiet's single tag, placed before your other scripts. The scan then fills the cookie table and prefills the policies; there is no Cookie Declaration script to embed. Visitors are asked for consent once more, because consents belong to the tool that collected them. The steps are in switching from Cookiebot, and the pricing page lists the plans.
