Pricing
CookieHub prices by sessions, not pageviews: a session is counted when a visitor loads the site and the widget starts, and pages viewed in the same visit do not add to it. On 2026-10-21 its pricing page, in euros excluding VAT, listed Free for fewer than 1,000 sessions a month, Starter at €6 a month or €66 a year for 5,000 sessions, Basic at €10 a month or €110 a year for 30,000, and Business at €30 a month or €330 a year for 120,000, rising to €55, €85 and €120 a month for 250,000, 500,000 and 1,000,000 sessions. Enterprise is quoted. Plans attach to a domain: when you cancel, "the domain will revert to the Free plan".
Cookiequiet is free for one website with no pageview limit, then €3 per website per month or €29 a year on Starter, €9 per website per month or €99 a year on Pro, with the AI design agent, or €19 a month for ten Pro websites on Agency. Here is what the two cost for a year, at the entry paid plan and at the plan with geo-targeting:
| Websites | CookieHub Starter | CookieHub Basic | Cookiequiet Starter |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | €66 | €110 | €29 (or €0 on Free) |
| 5 | €330 | €550 | €145 |
Billed monthly, CookieHub Starter is €72 a year and Cookiequiet Starter €36. The gap widens with traffic: a site with 40,000 sessions a month needs Business at €330 a year on CookieHub, and stays at €29 on Cookiequiet. The cost calculator runs the numbers for your own site count.
What happens when traffic grows
On CookieHub's free plan, going over 1,000 sessions stops the banner from showing until you upgrade, which leaves a site without a consent banner. Paid plans move up to the next tier after two consecutive billing periods over the limit, and the banner stays active. Cookiequiet has no traffic tiers on any plan, so a spike or a slow traffic increase changes nothing on the bill. Why pageview pricing is wrong for consent covers the reasoning.
Compliance features
Consent Mode v2: both include it on every plan, free included. CookieHub also lists Microsoft UET and Clarity integrations; Cookiequiet sets Microsoft UET consent on request.
Geo-targeting: CookieHub's geolocation-based consent settings start on Basic, at €10 a month. On Starter and Free, every visitor sees the same banner. Cookiequiet's geo-targeting is on every plan, Free included: banner only in regulated countries, a custom list, or an opt-out notice for US states with a privacy law.
Global Privacy Control: honored on every plan by both.
Consent records: CookieHub keeps them up to one month on Free and up to 12 months on paid plans. Cookiequiet keeps them 30 days on Free, 1 year on Starter and 5 years on Pro, with CSV export on Starter and Pro. If your authority expects proof for longer than a year, check how long to keep consent records.
Certification: CookieHub CMP is on Google's list of certified CMPs, and the IAB TCF 2.4 is on Business and Enterprise. Cookiequiet is not certified, so a site showing AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads to visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland needs a certified CMP such as CookieHub Business for those ads.
Setup and scanning
Both install with a script tag, and the setup is close. CookieHub's guide has you create a domain in its dashboard, copy the code from the Implementation tab and paste it at the very top of the head, then turn on the automatic cookie blocker or add attributes to the tags it does not know. Cookiequiet works the same way with one tag placed before your other scripts: the first scan fills the cookie table and prefills the policies, Reject all is on by default, Consent Mode v2 is switched on in the snippet the dashboard gives you, and a banner is live in about five minutes. CookieHub adds a WordPress plugin, a Wix app, Shopify and Matomo Tag Manager integrations and preset banner templates (one on Free and Starter, three from Basic). Cookiequiet is one tag of about 7 KB compressed, with guides for WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Next.js and Google Tag Manager.
CookieHub's scanner runs once on Free (50 pages), monthly on paid plans (100 pages on Starter and Basic, 1,000 to 10,000 on Business), and weekly on Enterprise, with scans of sub-domains and pages behind a login from Business. Cookiequiet scans 10 pages on Free and 50 on Starter and Pro, monthly on Free and weekly on Starter and Pro, and writes the cookie policy from what it finds. For a large site with thousands of URLs, CookieHub's higher scan budgets are an advantage.
Branding: CookieHub removes its link only on Business and above (€30 a month). Cookiequiet removes it on Starter at €3 a month.

Switching
Remove the CookieHub script or plugin, add the Cookiequiet tag before other scripts and mark the tags that must wait for consent with type="text/plain" data-cq-category="analytics" (or marketing, functional). If your tags fire from Google Tag Manager, use the cq_consent dataLayer event as the trigger. Export CookieHub's consent records before the subscription ends and keep them for your retention period. Compare both with other tools in the pricing page.
