Their pricing, read on 21 October 2026Read on 2026-10-21 at cookie-compliance.co/pricing, prices in US dollars with a monthly or yearly toggle ('Save 17%'): Professional $14.95/mo for a '1 domain license', $29.95 for 5 domains, $49.95 for 10 and $69.95 for 20; yearly $149.50, $299.50, $499.50 and $699.50. Professional lists 'Unlimited visits', 'Lifetime Consent storage', 'Google, Meta & Microsoft consent modes', 'Geolocation support', 'Unlimited languages' and premium support. Free lists '1,000 visits per month', '7 days consent log history', 'Google consent mode', '1 additional language', basic support, with 'Geolocation support' excluded. The help center (updated 2026-10-16) adds that past the free threshold 'autoblocking protection pauses until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade', and that Global Privacy Control and exportable consent proofs are Professional features. The WordPress plugin (formerly Cookie Notice, then Compliance by Hu-manity.co, now 'Cookie Compliance for WordPress', 800,000+ active installations) also runs in a 'Banner Only' mode with no account, which does not include script blocking, categories or consent records.

Cookie Notice was for years one of the most installed cookie plugins on WordPress. The plugin was renamed Compliance by Hu-manity.co with version 3.0, and is now listed on wordpress.org as Cookie Compliance for WordPress, with more than 800,000 active installations. Its changelog describes it as the WordPress half of one product, the other half being Hu-manity.co's hosted Admin Portal. Without an account, the plugin runs in a Banner Only mode that shows a notice but, per its own listing, does not include script blocking, purpose categories or consent records; those need the plugin connected to the Admin Portal on the Free or Professional plan.

Pricing

On 2026-10-21 the pricing page at cookie-compliance.co listed, in US dollars, a Free plan with 1,000 visits a month, a 7-day consent log history, Google Consent Mode and one additional language, without geolocation. Professional costs $14.95 a month or $149.50 a year for one domain, $29.95 a month or $299.50 a year for five, $49.95 or $499.50 for ten and $69.95 or $699.50 for twenty, with unlimited visits, lifetime consent storage, Google, Meta and Microsoft consent modes, geolocation and unlimited languages.

Cookiequiet is free for one website, then $3 per website per month or $29 a year on Starter, $9 per website per month or $99 a year on Pro, with the AI design agent, and $190 a year on Agency for a bundle of ten Pro websites and five team seats (the same figures in euros). A year costs:

WebsitesCookie Compliance ProfessionalCookiequiet
1$149.50$0 on Free, $29 on Starter
5$299.50$145 on Starter ($116 with one site on Free)
10$499.50$190 on Agency (10 Pro websites, 5 seats)

For one site, Cookiequiet Starter costs about a fifth of Professional; for ten, a bit over a third. Billed monthly, one Professional domain is $179.40 a year against $36. The cost calculator shows other site counts.

What the free plans include

Hu-manity.co's free plan stops at 1,000 visits a month. Its help center says a usage nudge appears at 70% of the threshold and that, past it, autoblocking pauses until the next billing cycle or an upgrade, so trackers can run before consent for the rest of the month. Consent records are kept 7 days, geolocation is excluded, and Global Privacy Control is listed for Professional.

Cookiequiet's free plan has no visit or pageview limit, keeps consent records 30 days, includes geo-targeting with a US opt-out notice, honors Global Privacy Control and runs a monthly scan. A free plan that switches off blocking on a busy month is the case why pageview pricing is wrong for consent describes.

Compliance features

Consent Mode: Google Consent Mode v2 on both free plans; Hu-manity.co adds Meta and Microsoft consent modes on Professional, and Cookiequiet sets Microsoft UET consent on request on every plan.

Scanning: Hu-manity.co's changelog says version 3.1.14 removed the tracker list and that compliance evidence now follows the live banner and blocking settings, with no scan to wait for. Cookiequiet scans 10 pages on Free and 50 on Starter and Pro and builds the cookie table and the cookie policy from what it finds.

Consent records: lifetime storage and exportable consent proofs on Professional, CSV export from the web app. Cookiequiet keeps records 1 year on Starter and 5 years on Pro, with CSV export on both.

Certification: neither is on Google's certified CMP list, so AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob publishers with visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland need another CMP for those ads.

Setup

Hu-manity.co's onboarding starts after installing the WordPress plugin: a modal asks you to choose a protection level (Banner Only, free, or paid), the paid path asks for the domain count and billing cycle, then you create or log in to a Hu-manity.co account, and the site connects and fetches its banner configuration. Accounts created with Google sign-in, multisite subsites and reconnections need the App ID and secret key copied from the Admin Portal. Settings then live in two places, WP Admin and the Admin Portal.

Cookiequiet takes one script tag placed before your other scripts, on any platform, with no plugin settings to work through. The first scan fills the cookie table and prefills the policies, Reject all is on by default, Consent Mode v2 is switched on in the snippet the dashboard gives you, and a banner is live in about five minutes. On WordPress you paste the tag in the header; see the WordPress guide.

  • A WordPress plugin many sites already run, with WPML and Polylang support and the WP Consent API.
  • Lifetime consent storage on Professional, against 5 years on Cookiequiet Pro.
  • Meta consent mode on Professional, and multi-domain licences up to 20 domains.
  • A consent analytics dashboard on both plans.

Where Cookiequiet is better

  • About $120 a year less for one site on Starter, and less at five and ten sites.
  • A free plan with no visit cap, geo-targeting and Global Privacy Control.
  • A cookie scanner and policies written from it.
  • Works on any platform, with one tag and no account connection step in WordPress.

Switching

Export consent records from the Admin Portal before you cancel, then deactivate the plugin. Add the Cookiequiet tag to the theme header before other scripts and mark the tags that must wait with type="text/plain" data-cq-category="...", since Hu-manity.co's autoblocking will no longer hold them. Run a scan to list what the site loads.
