The most common reason to leave CookieYes is its pageview tiers: the Free plan stops at 5,000 pageviews a month, Basic at $10 a month covers 100,000, geo-targeting starts on Pro at $25, and only Ultimate at $55 a month has no limit, with $0.30 per extra 1,000 pageviews on Basic and Pro. Cookiequiet Starter costs €3 per website per month or €29 a year (the same figures in dollars, 70% less than Basic), with no pageview limit and geo-targeting on every plan, Free included. If you need the IAB TCF for advertising, Cookiebot, consentmanager or Complianz premium are the alternatives to look at instead.

## What does CookieYes cost today?

On its pricing page on 20 October 2026, per domain: Free (5,000 pageviews a month, 1 domain, no multilingual banner); Basic $10 a month or $100 a year (100,000 pageviews); Pro $25 or $250 a year (300,000 pageviews; geo-targeting and the IAB TCF start here); Ultimate $55 or $550 a year (unlimited pageviews; branding can be disabled). Overage on Basic and Pro is $0.30 per 1,000 pageviews. Google Consent Mode v2 and a consent log are on every plan. The [full comparison](/vs/cookieyes) has the feature-by-feature table.

## What does CookieYes do well?

It is fair to say what you would give up. CookieYes keeps a consent log and supports Google Consent Mode v2 on every plan, Free included. Its Pro plan adds the IAB TCF, which Cookiequiet does not offer, and its documentation covers about two dozen CMS platforms. If your site sits under 100,000 pageviews a month and does not need geo-targeting, Basic at $100 a year is a reasonable price; the case for switching grows with traffic and with the need for regional rules.

## Which alternatives are worth a look?

Prices read on each vendor's own pricing page on 21 October 2026 (iubenda and Termly on 20 October 2026).

| Alternative | Price for one site | Traffic limit | Geo-targeting | IAB TCF | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cookiequiet | Free, or Starter €3 a month, €29 a year | None | Every plan | No | Any platform, flat price, no ad-tech TCF |
| CookieScript | €3.00 per domain per month, billed yearly, 2 domains minimum | None on paid plans | From Lite | Plus, €4.50 per domain | Several domains, TCF at a low price |
| Cookiebot | Free (50 subpages), then €7 to €90 a month by subpages | None on Premium | Premium | Premium | Ad-funded sites needing the TCF |
| Complianz | Free plugin; $59 a year premium | None | Premium (IP geolocation) | Premium, Google CMP certified | WordPress sites |
| consentmanager | €23 a month (100,000 views) | €0.10 per extra 1,000 | Not stated | From Essential, €59 | Publishers, Google-certified |
| iubenda | €5.99 a month, €4.99 billed yearly (25,000 pageviews) | €0.05 per extra 1,000 | From Advanced, €21.99 | Paid plans | Banner plus legal documents |
| Termly | $14 a month, $10 billed yearly (50,000 banner views) | Pro+ unlimited at $20 | Pro+ | Pro+ | Policy generator first |
| Klaro, tarteaucitron.js | Free, open source | None | No | No | Developers, one site |

## What does each cost at your traffic?

The figures below use the cheapest plan that covers the traffic on one site, with yearly billing where the vendor shows it.

| Monthly pageviews | CookieYes | Cookiequiet | CookieScript | Cookiebot (site under 350 subpages) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | Free | Free | Free | Free (up to 50 subpages) |
| 100,000 | $100 a year (Basic) | €29 a year (Starter) | €72 a year (2-domain minimum) | €180 a year (Small, €15 a month) |
| 300,000 | $250 a year (Pro) | €29 a year | €72 a year | €180 a year |
| 1,000,000 | $550 a year (Ultimate) | €29 a year | €72 a year | €180 a year |

The gap widens with traffic because CookieYes is the only one of the four that prices by pageviews. Cookiequiet Pro, which adds the AI design agent and a 5-year consent log, costs $9 a month or $99 a year (€9 or €99), 84% less than Ultimate's $55 a month. Cookiebot prices by subpages instead: a site with more than 350 unique URLs moves to Medium at €30 a month. The [cost calculator](/tools/cookie-banner-cost-calculator) runs the same sums for your traffic and number of sites.

## Who should pick which?

**Cookiequiet** if you want a flat price per website on any platform, need geo-targeting without a mid-tier plan, and do not serve Google AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads in the EEA, UK or Switzerland (it is not a Google-certified CMP for the IAB TCF). Setup is one script tag placed before your other scripts, with no plugin or tag-manager configuration needed; the scan fills the cookie table and prefills the privacy and cookie policies. Reject all is on by default, and Consent Mode v2 is switched on in the snippet the dashboard gives you.

**CookieScript** if you manage two or more domains and want the TCF and consent recording at €4.50 per domain. Its consent recording is on Plus only. See the [CookieScript comparison](/vs/cookiescript).

**Cookiebot** if you run ads that require a TCF CMP and your site has a predictable number of pages. Its pricing follows subpages, not traffic, and plans upgrade automatically when the scan finds more pages than the tier allows. See [Cookiebot](/vs/cookiebot).

**Complianz** if your site is WordPress and you want the banner configured from inside the admin. One site costs $59 a year; 25 sites cost $399.

**consentmanager** if you are a publisher who needs Google certification and the TCF with high traffic: Essential is €59 a month for 1 million views.

**iubenda or Termly** if the legal documents matter more than the banner. Their banner plans are capped (25,000 pageviews on iubenda Essentials, 50,000 banner views on Termly Starter).

## How hard is it to switch away from CookieYes?

Mostly a script swap. Cookiequiet reads the `data-cookieyes` attributes CookieYes uses to hold scripts until consent, so tags you already marked keep working after you replace the CookieYes snippet with the Cookiequiet one. Previous consents do not carry over between tools: visitors are asked once more. The steps are in [switching from CookieYes](/guides/switch-from-cookieyes).

## Questions

### What is the cheapest alternative to CookieYes?

Among hosted tools, Cookiequiet Starter at €3 per website per month or €29 a year with no pageview limit, against CookieYes Basic at $10 a month for 100,000 pageviews. The free open-source scripts Klaro and tarteaucitron.js cost nothing but are configured in code.

### Which CookieYes alternative supports the IAB TCF?

Cookiebot from Premium, consentmanager from Essential at €59 a month, CookieScript on Plus at €4.50 per domain, Complianz premium and Termly Pro+. Cookiequiet does not support the TCF.

### Will my blocked scripts still work if I switch from CookieYes to Cookiequiet?

Yes for scripts marked with the data-cookieyes attribute: Cookiequiet reads that markup, so you replace the snippet and the existing tags stay blocked until consent. Visitors are asked for consent again, because consents are stored per tool.
